03/08 - Game/Practice Schedule Update
A new schedule available for viewing and download, which shows our games and additional practices. Check out the downloads page, or just skip that and download it directly. We have a few crazy weeks in there, so have a look and prepare yourselves. Our first game is this Saturday at Mountain School after opening ceremonies and the hit-a-thon.
How about that practice today? Whew! That was fun getting out there in the rain. The kids are doing well, and I am very proud of all of them. I can't wait to start playing (although I must admit that practicing is just as fun!).
03/02 - Website Work Completed
I just finished up the kid cards page, thanks to the help of Coach Brad. Check it out. I have also updated the roster page to reflect the changes on the kid cards page. If you'd like, have a look at the photos page and see what I've got going on there. There are only two random photos available right now, but hopefully some of you will start participating with the photo donation to help make this page what I intended it to be. That's a not-so-subtle way of saying start sending some photos!!!
Practice is on for Saturday, weather permitting. Stay tuned.
Thanks again to Team Mom Michelle, Coach Larry, Coach Brad, and last but not least Team Safety Officer Callie. I couldn't do all this without you guys!
02/26 - Picture Day Tomorrow (Saturday)
Picture day is tomorrow at Main Street School. We are set to take our pictures at 10:30AM, so please get there no later than 10:15AM. I will be given the jerseys that day myself, so please find me right away and I'll give you a jersey. If you haven't purchased your uniform accessories, here's what you need (hover over the text for images):
Any sports shop in town will have these things, but some recommendations are: Play-it-Again Sports in Soquel, Jerry's Sports in Santa Cruz, and Big 5 in Capitola. Click here to download print out the list of the things you'll need. I'll probably be going to Big 5 with Rollin this evening, but Play-it-Again Sports also has very good pricing; I just don't have time to get down there before they close.
02/20 - Weekend Updates
I - Practice Cancelled
As (hopefully) most of you know from Team Mom Michelle's e-mail, today's practice was cancelled due to "field work day" at the Blue Ball Park farm field, which is where our practice was supposed to be held. It turns out that many of you couldn't make it anyway, so perhaps it was a good thing that the field was taken. We are shooting for a practice on Monday. Unless it is pouring rain, please come. If you're interested in helping out with the team, please check out the downloads page to get the documents you need. If you're able to fill them out and e-mail them to me or the team mom, that is fine.
II - Photo Page
I have set up the photos page, and I hope that you guys will use it. Please check it out. Once practices and games start, I'd like to have photos of the action, so please send me those photos! You can see what I did for my Angels last year by clicking here.
III - Kid Cards!
I've got the format for the kid card finalized. Check it out! In conjunction with your use of the photos page, I hope that we can have a full roster's worth of kid cards. Please help to get these "image coming soon" photos replaced with real kid photos!

02/18 - Practice this Saturday?
As many of you know, there is a baseball camp at Soquel high this Saturday that just so happens to conflict with our first scheduled practice. I am going to hold the practice regardles, weather permitting, so if you're not signed up to go to the baseball camp please try and come out to practice. The weather is supposed to be terrible, so I'll keep you posted on whether we actually go through with it.
02/15 - Website Up and Running
Here's our first update: the website is up and semi-functional! Be sure to keep this page in your mind when you visit the site; it'll be the one that gets the most action. Hopefully the kid cards will be done soon. For now, the only thing I really have is an "official" practice schedule available for download on our schedule page; soon to be there on the downloads page, too. I'm working on uploading more documents as we speak.
